This is a charming and desirable Kailua neighborhood, with wider streets, and some areas quite close to the beach. Lot sizes and price vary widely, getting larger as you get closer to the beach. This Kailua neighborhood has an unusual shape, running perpendicular to the beach, which is why you see more of a variance between properties in the same area.  

Prices generally range from $800K-$1.8M, getting higher the further Makai you go, particularly East of Kainalu Street and on Kalaheo Ave. Koolaupoko is bounded on the North by Mokapu Road (Kalaheo Hillside), on the East by the 700-900 blocks of North Kalaheo (Beachside), and on the South by Kaha Street (Coconut Grove, Kalama/Coconut Grove & Kalama Tract). Following Kaha street West, it is bounded by the Kaiwanui Marsh.

Home styles and construction, as well as size, vary greatly. Points of interest in the neighborhood are the Kawainui Marsh and Park, and close proximity to the entrance to the H-3 Highway and MCBH and Kaneohe Bay.
