Leeward Oahu Real Estate

Leeward Oahu includes the communities of Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Ko’Olina, Makakilo, Waipahu, Mililani, Wahiawa, Pearl City, Aiea, and others. This side of Oahu is generally a little bit more affordable. It also has lots of newer homes, built after the year 2000. Besides boasting some of the most highly-rated public schools on the island, this area is popular with military residents, as the Oahu real estate there is near several Oahu military bases, such as Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Base, Pearl Harbor Naval Station, and Hickam Air Force Station. The look of these Oahu areas is a bit more uniform and homogeneous and many homes are part of planned communities. As with most areas of Oahu, shopping and recreational opportunities are abundant. The Leeward beachfront communities (Koolina Area) also include several resorts, such as the Disney Aulani, the Marriott, and the Four Seasons.
